The pressure protection valve is designed to protect filter systems, inline filters, filter housings, and fridges with water dispensers against damage caused by high water pressure coming from a source. It does this by not allowing the water pressure reaching the system to exceed a certain pressure. The pressure protection valve will not allow the pressure of the water getting to the system to be above 500kpa / 5bar.
